Translation Contest Winners
1997
Margareta Martin. Excerpt from Eeva Joenpelto’s novel Rich and Respected. (Rikas ja kunniallinen) Prize in this instance was publication of the novel
by FATA with help of a grant from the Finlandia Foundation.
2001
1. Simo Merne. Excerpt from The Story of My Family (Minun perheeni tarina) by Jari Tervo.
2. Jill Timbers. Excerpt from the novella Shedding (Hylkääminen), contained in the collection All That Stays Unspoken (Se, mitä ei koskaan sanota) by Eeva Kilpi.

1. Ritva Poom for her translations from Eeva-Liisa Manner’s poetry.
